Build and maintain strong relationships across the wider business and with external parties. To ensure procurement procedures are followed.
What you’ll be doing:
Job Description:
Lead Procurement activity at the Plant with support when required.
Schedule and manage the supply of specific materials, services and spare parts to meet production requirement.
Support Materials Planner in ensuring packaging level (may include pallets, labels and other materials) are optimized to support Plant production requirements.
Management of site contracts (including maintenance agreements, service level agreements and supplier agreements).
Contribution to purchase specification process and lead commercial aspects including contractual elements and performance levels.
Managing tender process including preparation/issue of requests for quotes, appraisal of supplier offers and negotiations.
Play a lead role in tender and supplier evaluation processes considering commercial, operational and CSR aspects of proposals received.
Develop, implement and maintain Purchasing process in line with regional and central Purchasing, Supply Chain and Company policies.
To offer innovative and experiential input towards increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of Purchasing processes.
Understand and help manage risks to reduce impact of regional business operations on its internal and external stakeholders.
Appraisal of existing and candidate key supplier capabilities in line with the company audit and on-boarding processes.
Participate in specific Plant activities, strategies, initiatives and development.
Play an active role within the site-specific management of change processes (e.g., new product introduction trials).
Ensure regular adherence to the site internal audit requirements and plant business plan objectives.
Develop and maintain strong, value adding relationships with internal stakeholders and third parties.
As part of the Plant Management Team - challenge, engage and receive/provide constructive feedback.
Attend regular cost and project reviews with key stakeholders.
Challenging and supporting the Central Procurement Team by providing local information and actively requesting information and feedback.

If you have experience in the following areas – this is an added advantage:
Purchasing involvement
Saving and cost avoidance.
Supplier Quality Performance.
Zero production stop due to unavailable materials/spare parts/services.
Operational excellence.eg., workflow control.
Stakeholder engagement.
Bachelor's degree in business, Finance or Procurement is preferred.
More than 2 years of experience in purchasing or related role, preferable in manufacturing industry.
Experience of pre and post tender procurement activities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, also in negotiation skills.
P-2-P&E- Procurement experience
Highly experienced in the use of SAP
Proactive and creative in finding solutions that will positively impact the organization.
High level of experience in managing stock levels for production material.
Attention to detail, tenacity & problem solving
High level of integrity
MRO Procurement experience.
Project Management experience.
